Bill Gallagher

Bill Gallagher is associated with The Gavin Law Firm in an "Of Counsel" position. Bill is primarily responsible for the handling of all of the firm's Worker's Compensation cases in both Illinois and Missouri.

Bill received a B. A. from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and a J. D. from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. He was a charter member of the Douglas Chapter of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity and served on the Ethics Counsel. He was admitted to practice in the State of Illinois in 1976 and in the State Missouri in 1988. Bill is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, a past member of the Workers' Compensation Section Council, and has served as an instructor at various Workers' Compensation seminars sponsored by the Illinois State Bar Association. Bill is also a member of the Missouri Bar Association.

Bill has had extensive experience in the area of Workers' Compensation, having concentrated his practice in Workers' Compensation, representing both injured employees and employers in the states of Illinois and Missouri. He was formerly an in-house counsel for a major insurance carrier for over fifteen years, which gives him additional insight in regard to the internal workings and procedures of the employers and their insurance carriers. More specifically, this experience has provided him with the knowledge of the value employers and their insurance carriers place on Workers' Compensation cases. Having worked in the industry and provided education to other attorneys, the attorneys for the employers are aware of his vast knowledge, experience, and reputation.
